Daniel presents a succession of four world empires, traditionally identified as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. The 'one like a son of man' (Daniel 7:13-14) receives an everlasting kingdom after these empires are destroyed. Daniel 8:20 explicitly names Media and Persia (מָדַי וּפָרָס)—the uncontested hinge for modern dispensationalist identification of Iran with the biblical ram.

Brandon T. Ward (World Events and the Bible, Mar 8 2026) maps the sequence directly: 'Daniel 8:17's phrase at the time of the end shall be the vision means the ram-and-goat sequence has a latter-day fulfillment.' Greg Laurie (133K views), Troy Anderson, and David Jeremiah all frame the Iran-US war within this schema.

Revelation 18:11-13 contains a shipping manifest from the ancient Mediterranean. The merchants of the earth weep because no one buys their cargo anymore. The final item: σωμάτων, καὶ ψυχὰς ἀνθρώπων—'bodies and souls of men.' The slave trade at the climax of the cargo list.

The Strait of Hormuz handles ~20% of global oil transit. A closure maps structurally onto 'in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste.' The question for Prescience: which actor is Babylon? The test is economic—who profits from the cargo.

The War Scroll (1QM) describes a 40/49-year cosmic war between the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness. But it is not an apocalypse—it is a serekh, a procedural document. It prescribes battle arrays, weaponry specifications, age requirements, trumpet signals, and priestly blessings. This is bureaucratic eschatology.

The Israel Museum notes: 'This work is not, strictly speaking, an apocalypse, and it lacks a messianic figure.' The critical insight: when the Temple Mount movement and CUFI shift from prophetic expectation to active engineering, they recapitulate the serekh genre.

The Avestan compound frasha- + kar- means 'making excellent/wonderful.' The concept is universalist restoration. The molten metal ordeal (Bundahishn 34.18-33) purifies everyone—wicked and righteous alike pass through it—then the entire material creation is renewed. This contrasts sharply with Christian apocalyptic (which separates saved from damned) and with Ragnarok (which destroys to rebuild).

The Strait of Hormuz as the narrow passage through which the old order burns is a powerful image, but currently the evidence points toward destruction, not renovation. No Saoshyant figure has emerged. The renovation thesis is aspirational, not evidenced.

Saoshyant (Avestan: saošyant) means 'one who brings benefit.' From the root sav-/su- ('to be useful') + present participle -ant. In the Gathas it is a common noun; it becomes a proper eschatological title only in the Pahlavi texts.

Anahita (an-ahita, 'undefiled/immaculate') is the divine custodian of Zoroaster's seed in Lake Kansaoya (Bundahishn XXXV.60). She is not the mother of the Saoshyants—the virgin maidens are—but she guards the eschatological seed from which all three saviors will be born.

The Hidden Imam (Muhammad ibn Hasan al-Mahdi) entered Major Occultation in 941 CE. Khomeini's Velayat-e Faqih transformed Shia quietism into revolutionary activism—the Supreme Leader governs as steward until the Mahdi's return. The IRGC functions as the Mahdist instrument.

The MEI report (Golkar & Aarabi, 2022): 'Mahdism in the IRGC remains a complete blind spot for Western policymakers and experts, and yet its implications could have major consequences.' Devoted Mahdists control the three principal pillars of Iranian power projection.

Arabic dh-k-r (ذ-ك-ر) and Hebrew z-k-r (ז-כ-ר) are cognates from Proto-Semitic *dh-k-r. The Akkadian evidence (Krebernik, Reallexikon der Assyriologie) suggests the original meaning may be 'to call/invoke' rather than 'to remember'—making the Sufi use of dhikr closer to the Proto-Semitic root than the Hebrew cognitive sense.

Ghazali (Ihya, Book 8) describes four stages: tongue, heart, innermost secret, and annihilation in remembrance—where the dhikr, the dhakir, and the One remembered collapse into unity.

The Apocryphon of John (NHC II,1) describes Yaldabaoth: 'he said, I am God and there is no other God beside me, for he is ignorant of his strength, the place from which he had come.' A voice from the Aeon above rebukes him. The irony: 'of whom would he be jealous?' if there were no other God.

Elaine Pagels (HTR 69, 1976) demonstrated that the Valentinian myth was a coded critique of the episcopal hierarchy. Demiurge = institutional authority. Archons = the bureaucracy that enforces consensus reality. This is theological resistance literature.

The Corpus Hermeticum was recovered by Ficino in 1463 (editio princeps 1471). Isaac Casaubon (1614) demonstrated it was post-Christian Hellenistic composition, demolishing the prisca theologia chronology. The Fama Fraternitatis appeared the same year—launching Rosicrucianism just as Casaubon undermined its philosophical genealogy.

The ruling class claims Hermetic knowledge not to free the trapped sparks but to administer them. 'As above, so below' becomes: those who understand the heavenly mechanisms can manipulate the earthly. This is the root of political Hermeticism.

From the Hopi verb root koya- ('to deviate, go astray') + -qatsi ('life, way of living'). David Leedom Shaul (A Concise Hopi and English Lexicon, 1985): 'crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living.'

The Pivanhonkyapi narrative (Malotki, Hopi Tales of Destruction, 2002): a prosperous settlement introduced gambling (totolospi), became addicted, abandoned responsibilities, reached 'the curse of koyaanisqatsi, or corrupted life out of balance.' Since koyaanisqatsi engulfs an entire community and constitutes a point of no return, only a new beginning could remedy the situation. The village was destroyed by fire.

Thomas Banyacya, appointed in 1948, waited 44 years to deliver the Hopi message to the UN General Assembly (December 10, 1992). He sprinkled corn meal beside the podium and spoke first in Hopi: 'I am amazed to see the prophecy has come true and here you are today! But only a handful of United Nations Delegates are present to hear the First People.'

On the same day, a great storm and unprecedented tidal wave struck the East Coast. The indigenous delegates interpreted this as confirmation.

Lucifer pulls humanity upward out of matter prematurely (spiritual escapism). Ahriman pulls humanity downward into matter (materialism, mechanization). Christ is the balancing force. Ahriman 'counts on' three things: that people remain unconscious of his approach, that they see only material causes, and that they fall into either materialism OR nebulous mysticism—both serve Ahriman equally.

The proper response is conscious recognition—not combat (which would be Luciferic pride) but meeting him with full awareness. The MysTech conference (August 2025) explicitly connects Ahriman to AI, transhumanism, surveillance capitalism.

The 1614 Fama Fraternitatis described a brotherhood whose members heal without payment, wear no distinctive clothing, and keep the fraternity secret. Frances Yates (The Rosicrucian Enlightenment, 1972) argued the Royal Society grew from this impulse—though this thesis has been significantly challenged by Feingold and Hunter.

The critical distinction (Mitch Horowitz): genuine Rosicrucian philosophy serves humanity through wisdom; the conspiracy distortion reinterprets the hidden brotherhood as a cabal. The Illuminati (Weishaupt, 1776) borrowed the structure but inverted the purpose—from spiritual reform to political infiltration.

Ra-Hoor-Khuit declares: 'Now let it be first understood that I am a god of War and of Vengeance.' The chapter commands: 'Choose ye an island! Fortify it! Dung it about with enginery of war!' Crowley's New Comment: 'The Great War is a mere illustration of this text.'

Verse III.51 targets all Abrahamic traditions: 'With my Hawk's head I peck at the eyes of Jesus as he hangs upon the cross. I flap my wings in the face of Mohammed & blind him. With my claws I tear out the flesh of the Indian and the Buddhist, Mongol and Din.'

Jack Parsons (1914-1952): co-founder of the GALCIT rocket group that became JPL, inventor of castable composite solid fuel (powering Space Shuttle boosters and Minuteman ICBMs), lodge master of OTO Agape Lodge. He performed the Babalon Working (1946) with L. Ron Hubbard as scribe.

Crowley's verdict after Hubbard absconded with Parsons' $20,000: 'Suspect Ron playing confidence trick—Jack Parsons weak fool—obvious victim prowling swindlers.' The boundary between occult practice and weapons development was porous from the outset of the American rocket program.

Maitreya (Sanskrit maitreyaḥ) derives from maitrī ('loving-kindness'), from mitra ('friend')—cognate with Avestan Mithra. Tiele (The Religion of the Iranian Peoples, 1912): 'No one who has studied the Zoroastrian doctrine of the Saoshyants can fail to see their resemblance to the future Maitreya.'

The debate: Przyluski, Lamotte, and Lévi argue for direct Zoroastrian → Buddhist transmission via Gandhāra and the Silk Road. David Alan Scott argues for independent development from a shared Proto-Indo-Iranian substrate. The structural parallel is exact: a future savior appears at the nadir of cosmic decline to restore truth.

In China, eschatological expectation has historically been the language of political rebellion. The Red Turban Rebellion (1351-1368), led by Han Shantong of the White Lotus Society, overthrew the Yuan Dynasty and established the Ming—the most consequential Maitreya rebellion in history.

Zhu Yuanzhang rose from the Red Turbans but actively suppressed Maitreyan heterodoxy once in power. The deep structure persists: when the CCP's mandate weakens, the historical pattern predicts religious-political movements using eschatological vocabulary.
